Small Project Collection: an array of different works

Tarot Cards

This project was an exercise in the capabilities of Photoshop. It was our first true introduction to what can be done within Photoshop other than a basic photo edit. We were given full creative freedom as long as what was important to the cards we chose was included in the design.

Flip Calendar

This project was a lesson in handmade production and the craft of a physical final product. The final design was turned into a desktop flipable calendar.

Restroom Icons

As an introduction to systems and icon design, we were to create restroom icons that could be understood in purely black and white.

Lucky Dogs

This project was our first introduction to logo redesigning. The new logo mark is in the shape of a golden token that would hang off of Mardi Gras beads. I also used a horseshoe to emphasize the word “Lucky” even more.

GPA Client Project

The GPA project was our first taste of working with a real client. It started off as an individual project that was then converted to a group project.

GPA is a business that focuses on integration and innovation to help manufacturers to thrive in a new and evolving industry. What they wanted from us was an updated logo that kept the globe shape and green of the original. Everything else was an expansion of what they could do with the new logo, colors, and type we picked.

Recipe Card

The recipe card was our first go at information design. We were given creative freedom as long as we could fit everything the recipe involved into a provided space, and every instruction had an illustration or tip to go with it.

City Poster

This city poster is 1 of 3 in a set. This set of posters was given to us as an exercise in finding information, then designing our research. The information shown in my poster is the differences and similarities in the cost of living/everything that falls under that umbrella for the cities of Venice and Amsterdam.

As a group, we decided on a style, color, type, and the overall layout of the posters. Each of our posters where aout different aspects of the cities, such as landmarks and weather.

Football Poster

For this poster, I was contacted by my high school yearbook sponsor to make the football poster that would be given to local businesses as a thank you for supporting the high school. I worked with a photographer to get the image for the background that I then designed on top of.

Magazine Pages

These pages are a few from a Typopedia magazine I created. I made them by following a trail of 10 links from a Wikipedia search on typography. We then decided on the layout, style, design, and images.
